Haven't look at this, but I can clearly remember my Dad, a slightly built very inoffensive man, getting really into it every Saturday afternoon! I still remember the two names, Jackie Pallo and Mick McManus, who were regulars. It made me laugh, it was so obviously fake, but my Dad and many like him just loved it.

it was big in the 60's and 70's and a big part of ITV sport at the time.
Yes jackie pallow and mick mcmanus were two of the big names, along with kendo nagasaki and of course giant haystacks and big daddy.
I always liked les kellet

as he brought a bit of humour to the ring. he also wrestled into his 70's.

kendo nagasaki, didn't he once pull of his mask in the ring and reveal his true identity?
