Tittting point...ITV1

Post  Hugh Jardon on Wed Jan 30, 2013 6:18 pm

If you miss the days of the freak shows of old, then you MUST tune in and watch this absolute tripe....hosted by Ben Shepherd, ex GMTV etc!!!
As far as I can gather, they must have rounded up the very worst of quiz show contestants, stoved their heads in with a lump hammer and then stuck them in front of a camera.
We had one Bint yesterday who was definitely missing a few chromosomes...she told us that Bruno Senna was Ayrton's grandson and that Bournmouth was in Kent!
They must have also been primed to exhibit as much Bon homie as humanly possible, especially to their fellow contestants....fudge that for a game of tin soldiers!

Anyway, no matter how bad you may feel about yourself or your life....be thankful that you are not as fudged up as the gormless Kantz on this poxy game show!

Anyway....here's an example of a question, which some goby bitch fudged up about 5 minutes ago!

" what organ in the human body is an anagram of the word earth?"

" I don't know!"

For fudges sake!

Wow - you must have read my mind! I've got it on now, and I was just thinking the same. FFS.. Ask them a question about anything that happened longer than 30 years ago and they shake their heads ..."ooh I wouldn't know that, I wasn't born then". That puts paid to any history questions then.

Actually I think it's strategy. They're giving away a jackpot of £10,000 each day, and people have been winning it - it's just too easy. So maybe they're panicking and thinking "shit, we'd beter get some thickos in before we go bust".

Which is EXACTLY what the better half has said.
But, as I can tell you, shows are filmed in blocks ( possibly 7 a day...this type of quiz has a fixed format, so they can have a good estimate of the run time ) and are not always shown in chronological order.
That blond haired Bint deserved to be pushed under a bus...and what type of prick doesn't at least have a guess at a question?
The copper with the paedo 'tache was seriously thick... And very creepy!

It's not just Titting Point though is it? I like Eggheads, but I'm embarrassed at some of the teams that turn up. The younger ones' total ignorance of basic schoolboy stuff is unbelievable. One of the 'eggheads' is an old lady, and she knows 100 times more than some of the so-called Professional yuppie types, all of whom have a university degree. Says it all really.

Kids are taught stuff....but they appear to not learn anything of value.
My middle son is doing his final modules for his GCSEs.
Whilst he's got predicted A's, his knowledge of the likes of Biology, physics and Chemistry is about the same of mine when I was 13.... Not 16.
They appear to concentrate on the famous personalities and theorists in the field in question..but not what they actually did.
Chemical formulas are provided in the exams, so whilst my son may be able to explain the oxidation of x...he can not express such a thing in a formula.
He has not had to learn his periodic table..for Christ sakes, this is basic.

It gets worse, we know a lad who is nice but dim!
His bloody teachers did his course work for him...as he represents the town and county at a particular sport.
He was offered a scholarship to represent a college... And would have been helped out again...no doubt!

NOW... and with a possible risk of upsetting a few posters who I class as friends but are not " white/Christian"....
A guy who I went to school with ( and whose son plays football in the same team as my middle lad) recently resigned from a local college..on principle.
He is a lecturer in a specialised subject and was commanded from on high to mark papers presented by Asians more favourably.
The reasons for this was to highlight that this college embraced its "diversity" to the extent that these students were more successful than others who may not have such a dark complexion.
He also told me that the college received grants for admitting these students- so it was in his interest to continue to deliberately skew their results.

Anyway, he's now unemployed and possibly unemployable.....

That's terrible, but I believe it, and it's probably not uncommon. I read about the teachers complaining about the new reforms in GCSEs and the new baccalaureate etc, saying how appalling it is to expect pupils to pass exams and going back to a system from 50 years ago. Obviously that system worked better than today's! When I did my GCEs you did the exam once; no course work, if you failed you failed, no bloody re-takes. It's ridiculous; it's just designed to make the teachers/schools look good, it certainly doesn't do the students any favours.

I was invited to take part in an all time quiz winners weakest link last year.
I was abroad on business, so couldn't do it.
Strangely though its nev been shown on tv.

Following on the thread about the Vicky Pryce jury being imbeciles, I posted about anyone under the age of 30 being chronically dumb. This was borne out by today's Tipping Point: the only young competitor was asked a 30 second series of questions and couldn't answer a single one. Another question sh got wrong was "what number in English is the Roman Numeral XXX ... her answer: 21.

When the Richard Hammond wannabe says " you've been a brilliant contestant" what show has he been watching?

How thick was that Bint in the "final"..... Apart from being a retard, she went for the one zone with a fooking gap on the first plinth!

Hi Hugh. I love that show, it cracks me up. Ben Shephard tries painfully to keep a straight face when they come out with some bloody thick answer, but he slipped up the other day. A young girl with a single brain cell gave a really stupid answer and said the other bloke, who was older, had an advantage over her, and Shephard slipped up and said "yeah, knowledge".
