Australia votes to repeal carbon tax

lets hope this is the beginning of the end of this unfair and ludicrous tax around the world.
It does no good and just penalises the poor.

I have been looking for some flights for some friends who are coming to stay here and in the uk they have to pay £96 in taxes to fly out of the UK. about £1100 for 4 of them

the same flight from from copenhagen costs $107 each because they are not slapped with massive amounts of green taxes.
Around 20% of the cost

she can fly to florida from copenhagen for £130

It'll probably just mean an increase for us - Dave likes to lead the way in donating money.

Just like Tony and Gordon did.

Yep - the poor don't pay anything, the rich avoid paying anything - the hard working full time workers on £20,000 - £60,000 who pay tax pay for everybody - and that includes foreigners!

no everyone pays for green taxes though increased costs, the rich can afford it, it hits the poor the hardest.

You didn't read - the poor don't pay anything!!!!!!!!!!

Hear me now?!

The rich - well, they avoid most taxes then.

Self employed - they just put everything on the books - phone bill and phone - company use.  Electricity - company use.

do you think the poor do not buy products that cost more because the manufacturing and transport costs are higher because of green taxes.

If an essential widget cost 50p to manufacture and sell and joe poor buys 100 widgets a week that costs him £50 a week. Now green taxes are slapped on production and transport costs and the same widget now costs 60p to produce that means it is costing joe poor £60 a week. Joe poor has an income of £100 a week so what was costing him 50% of his income is now costing him 60%.

billy Rich also buys 100 widgets a week and it now costs him £60 a week, but that hardly makes a dent in his £1000 a week income.
its gone up from 5% to 6%

you see how green taxes affect the poor far more than the rich

everything you buy has an associated cost and that is higher because of green taxes. It has little or nothing to do with taxes taken by the revenue people.
