Or is it to thee.

The first one I personally had was almost the size of a shoe box.

Nowadays they can be a about the size of a Manikin Cigar packet.

You can speak to someone on the other side of the world using them.
You can send letters, fotos to anywhere in the world using them
You can send a command to turn on your bath using them
You can access your home video security cameras using them.
You can play games using them.
You can chat on forums using them.

Anything else????

Miracle or not????? how you say?????

I worked for Orange when they were still called hutchison microtel and was involved in the rollout of their network in 1994. I was the first person in the UK to make a data call across switching centres on the M4 and M40. I used to drive up and down the M4 around Reading in a car, and the M40 near oxford with a few PC's running and a mobile attached to one of them and another one logging data hoping that the calls would remain up as we crossed the boundarys.
In the early days mobile calls would drop if you exceeded 70mph. That was fixed before launch though .
I used to work through the night endlessly driving up and down and one day I managed 16 hours overtime. Kerching. Also got to stay in the london metropol for days on end with expenses to cover room service.
Started with them on a 6 week contract and ending up working for them for 10 years. I bought my flat from the share save scheme. the 50p shares ended up at £25 the first time Orange was sold. And I kept getting more payments when they were sold again to mannsman and france telecom. It was a great company to work for before france telecom took over. It has really gone down hill in the last 10 years.
