A prequel to a new hope.
The daughter of the scientist who created the Death Star goes to try and rescue him and find out the secret of the death star before it becomes operational and how the plans for said death star were stolen.
A little slow to start but over all a good movie for any star wars fans.
good to see Peter Cushing back after many years out of the movies and at the end a very young Princess Leia.
Also Darth Vadar gets a couple of scenes. the movie ends more or less where episode 4 starts.
Dont expect a sequel to this prequel though as it ends badly for everyone.

8/10

it was quite well done and you can barely see the join in 3d
as with the young princess leia which probably means that she can appear in any star wars movies after episode 8

Just seen it , great film

At risk of sounding like a moaning ninny the CGI of Peter Cushing was brilliant but you could still tell it was CGI , especially when 'he' done those nervous twitchs

with the natural blurring of 3d it is passable, I will watch it again when the DVD comes out

One thing that puzzled me - why didnt the Death Star directly target the that beach base right at the end
