Re: Dystopia
brown bailed out the banks twice. Once when he sold them gold on the cheap and again after he failed to plan for the crashThorney Sam wrote:Heath wanted Socialism to bail out the banks, but then got booted out of office. Didn't think the milk snatch was a socialist, more totalitarian when she used starvation, police brutality and the military from both sides of the pond to crush the unions.Flap Zappa wrote:

Johnny "pants" Major bailed out the banks using state aid "Socialism"
I'd hardly call Blair or Brown socialists but they used socialism to bail out the banks.
The twat Cameron used a mixture of austerity and poverty to bail out the banks.
And the Maybot has left this nation in a worse state than Venezuela, her continual use of austerity is simply a means to bail out Tory party funders, i.e. The banks!
Socialism surrounds us, and when the rich spunk all their money they beg for socialism to bail them out.
Capitalism only works when the safety net of socialism (tax payer) is around to bail them out.
How about we don't bail them out but nationalise them!

Re: Dystopia
Looking back at what's been happening in Parliament over the last few years, I conclude that 90% of our MP's,{on all sides} are in it for themselves, and fuck the rest of us !

MP's are now claiming more in expenses than they did before the expenses scandal.Thorney Sam wrote:Not true Nicko, British children are suffering from rickets.nicko wrote:Yes, TB rampant again, cause of Blair letting in any Tom, Dick and Abdul in to our country !
However, in recent years, there's been an increase in cases of rickets in the UK.

And here's the rub!
Ian Duncan Smith calculated that 7p was enough for a child's breakfast.
The IFS has predicted the number of children living in poverty will soar to a record 5.2 million over the next five years as government welfare cuts bite, more than reversing all the progress made over the past 20 years.

Of course IDS himself claimed expenses of £39.00 off the tax payer for his breakfast, that's a differential of almost 600%.
But then I suppose you must keep your masters in a fashion they're accustomed too!
Re: Dystopia
he sold the gold cheap to his american banker mates in a bid to bail them out of the mess they had got themselves intoThorney Sam wrote:So far the brown bottom has yielded £1.5BN as he purchased currency with the gold and now even with hindsight a most profitable move.
Of course due to a decade of Tory/flipflop rule we now have the return of Victorian diseases!
Re: Dystopia
you suffer from rickets due to a vitamin D deficiency, easily cured by playing outside in the sun, instead of sat behind a computer screen, console or phone.Thorney Sam wrote:Not true Nicko, British children are suffering from rickets.nicko wrote:Yes, TB rampant again, cause of Blair letting in any Tom, Dick and Abdul in to our country !

Re: Dystopia
there is an expression coined a year or 2 ago, drain the swamp. Lets hope the next election does than and every mp who has opposed the democratic vote of the british people is resolutely kicked out of office, either by his or her constituency party's or the electorateThorney Sam wrote:Thank goodness the next prime minister has a parsimonious nature with our taxes and his expenses!Flap Zappa wrote:

Re: Dystopia
rickets is caused by a vitamin d deficiency. Being out in the sun is a good source of vitamin DThorney Sam wrote:Thank goodness you're not a parent, what type of specimen would tell lies like that?Flap Zappa wrote:

And what type of idiot would give you a green?.
One of the report’s authors, Dr Ronny Cheung, a paediatric consultant at the Evelina children’s hospital, London, says he is seeing a growing evidence of conditions not only exacerbated by poverty, but caused by it. “I’m seeing kids with rickets on a fairly regular basis in my clinic,” he says. “That is related to nutrition at the very least. We are seeing more advanced cases. It should be a Victorian illness. It shouldn’t be around to this degree any more.
