I went to see it sunday and it is an ok marvel movie, not as bad as the first hulk move by M night shamalamadingdong, but it suffers from what so many origin movies suffer from, needing to fill in a back story before getting on with the action.
All those praising it for being a great movie due to its black cast, they are good on the whole, miss out the fundamental flaw with also suggesting that wakanda is a great example for black folks, After century's of deeply held beliefs and ideals on not interfering with the outside world, it just took the crowning of the new king, Eric Killmonger, who'd guess he'd be a bad 'un with a name like that, to make them ditch those principles and decide to wipe out whitey with their superior tech and weapons. Not perhaps the best message in the world to send to black people.
But first and foremost it is a marvel movie and not real life so I would give it 6.5 or 7 out of 10

oh yes, not a single person in the packed cinema dressed up in traditional african costume. But then I have never been to see any movie where people dressed up as characters from the movies. I think that is probably an american thing.
