you cant while we are in the EU. How does that square with comarade cobs about face after 40 years of being vehemently anti EU. Yet another principle the deeply principled jezzbolla has ditched.

I suggest that those who demand the re-nationalisation of the energy industry can't remember, or are to young to remember, when there were regional gas and electricity boards run by totally unqualified local councillors and failed politicians handed a directorship as a reward for failure, and subjected to endless disruption and industrial action.

The biggest failure of the present day system is that it has allowed top executives to grab obscene, telephone number salaries, pension contributions and other perks while enjoying immunity from any real accountability for shortcomings.

It doesn't square, EU state aid, procurement and competition laws forbid it, but then the only country that has ever adhered to that policy are the British, the German constitution gives the Bundestag the final say over all laws and the French do whatever the fuck they want to do anyway.

Hopefully the prospect of socialism under Corbyn will scare the fuck out of the EU and they'll fuck us off, it might be the only way we'll ever leave the EU!
