Brexit: UK asks EU for further extension until 30 June

The prime minister has proposed that if UK MPs approve a deal in time, the UK should be able to leave before European Parliamentary elections on 23 May.
But she said the UK would prepare to field candidates in those elections, in case they do not reach agreement.

I do like the way the labour and tory votes in newport west by election have plummeted. Labours vote down by over half.
the tal number of people who voted yesterday were on 392 more than the lab/tory fall since 2017. Labours brexit shenanigans have made a safe seat a marginal. Although I expect there are around 632 marginals in the uk now.

It is simply another shock and awe tactic used by Olly Robbins to bring the DUP, ERG and co back to Maybots deal, will they fall for it.

Brillo got awfully excited about a 2 point swing to the tories from Labour, but much to brillo's frustration it was pointed out that Paul Flynn was an incredibly popular MP even amongst some Tory voters who voted for him in 2017.

Labour won which was no real surprise, the turnout was low no real surprise and both staunch leavers and staunch remoaners sought representation elsewhere.

Hung parliament looks likely after such a result, although this very much depends on the Labour message that could powerfully resonate with voters come GE time.
