At 12:30 this afternoon

22+ lads, refs, coaches will stand in one line for two minutes if total silence!
It's incredibly moving to witness... even more poignant with young men... Who would and could have been in the trenches.....

..after which there was all out warfare...both on the pitch and off it.

We have always had problems with this team..with even one of their parents manhandling one of our lads last year!

The young ref just could not handle the atmosphere, with him awarding free kicks and a penalty after shout outs from the opposition supporters!

One of the parents was most beastly to me, accusing me of getting a free-kick when I shouted "off-side!" (it was!) and their bloody lino also flagged!

I was most upset and teary at this beastliness... so I managed to get enough inner steel to piss myself laughing and 'sing'

" dee dee diddle dee dee dee dee dee!" (as you would hear when the clowns and jugglers perform at a circus!)

anyway..we should have had about 12 and ended up winning 7 -2.

It was a pisser today.... one of the our lads nans came to watch.

She said something along the lines of " I love coming to watch them play..and you laughing and grinning all game makes it even more fun!"

Update.... We won the cup on pennies....with middle son making the key save, just after scoring his own Pennie.
We came second in the league and would have and could have won it...but with the lads playing ( for both sat and sun leagues) 8 games in 11 days.
They were knackered....but still got to the finial of the sat league cup...to lose 2-1 in that one.
