the medium is not the message.Evening Tea wrote:Real Books >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> e-books.
Whilst a real book is nice the words are no different in what ever format they arrive.
the guttenburg project is an excellent source of classic and not so classic books.
books sites I left also have a number of audio books on them as well, all for free.
I like ebooks, very convenient and Calibe is an excellent tool, probably one of the best pieces of useful free software I have ever seen and something I actually donated to and I do not do that often

I prefer to physically own a book, it's much nicer and I find real books easier to read than e-books so the medium can factor in for some people.

Re: more free ebooks
there is something in that but it is almost impossible to take enough books on holidays these days with the crappy luggage allowance. I much prefer having a good part of my library in my pocket. the problem I have now is I am running out of space on my PPC's internal memory. Although I could move it all onto a larger 4gb or 8GB SD card and add back in my american tom tom maps.Evening Tea wrote:Flap Meister wrote:the medium is not the message.
