I've just finished this...it isn't for the faint hearted..and it's hard to tell just where the truth ends and fiction begins (so not unlike a Labia Party 'manisfesto' then?)

I'm not at all sure....which may seem a strange thing to say.

It's a work of fiction and non fiction (perhaps)..

at one point he goes on about Paul Merton being raped by some loon who's targetting entertainers.

it is highly entertaining and extremely funny- though not one to be read aloud on the No29 to work!

It looks to be a combination of short stories partly based on his background and then also essays on certain aspects of life, culture, celebrities etc...Looks like a good one and gonna buy it for my kindle...thanks for the plug Smile

lol! I gave in and asked for one for christmas, although to be fair husband has offered for the last few but i turned him down cause i love books, but it is good for travelling at night when we are returning from watching our boys play as i hated wearing a stupid headtorch - gave me a massive headache, plus you can play music on it, watch tv or movies and play games too Smile I am now a convert lol! BUT when at home I still am old school and read proper books Cool

I think they are both great jade....I got a kindle fire which i understand is not out in the UK as yet but it is brill, like a mini ipad so you can do anything but if you need to check email real time etc...you need to be in a wi-fi spot but to read or play games or watch movies you have downloaded no you do not. My mum got a basic kindle and she prefers hers as it is lighter to hold when reading in bed but she was impressed with mine and might switch over when it comes out in the UK.

I still read old school books in bed at bedtime cause i can't give them up! So far I have mostly loaded free books to the kindle and order normal books from amazon to read at home.

I have work colleagues who swear by the Nook both old and new versions but again not sure if they are out in the UK or not. There has been a mass explosion of e-readers over here in the US this year. My advice is to do your research and look at what you really want to use it for, if mostly just reading then I would go for a basic version but if you want to do more then look at the different options they all have.
