Ok, it's a kids programme.... But it teaches kids in such a great way that the little lad has it on series link....

..and for the BBC, it's pretty much free of bias.

Horrible Histories is a brilliant programme!! My son loved it. Hell, I love it!
I learned stuff from it too lol!

I loved the humour that ran through it, it was very cleverly done.

They do books too Hugh, they're really good.

How old is your son? He might like Tony Robinson's book "Worst jobs in history" it's a good way to get boys to read :-)

I will.... I believe that any child named phyliss would have the job keeper of the kings chocolate starfish.....

He's 9 in a fortnight...so he'll get a few decent books and an easy rider style bike....his first proper cricket kit....can't bloody wait for the summer.

Has he discovered minecraft yet?
My son loves it. He's built whole cities and stuff!

It's better than all the shooting games which he thought were cool for about a month then got bored.

I went in his too the other night and he told me he was trolling someone else's house and nicking their stuff. I said "diamonds and weapons?" He says "Na, his pigs!"

Wtf????

He's had that ruddy thing for a few years now...and ( according to his brothers) is bloody good at it....to the point where ( (if he wants when he's older) he could post tips and stuff on YouTube.

He makes all kinds of compounds.... And has a jet liner designed and built.

The thing about mine craft is that it is a very clever game...and the simple graphics at the beginning are not a true reflection on how powerful it is.

However, it's his bloody lego ability that is outstanding....seriously good....and he does want to be an engineer.

Thankfully, with fracking on the horizon.... He may well get the chance!

It is a pretty good game for getting their IT skills and imagination working.
My son built a whole Hunger a Games thing on it.

I have sat, with a cup of tea, in his bedroom and watched him.
He took me on a tour of his 'house' - pretty impressive I wanted to live there! - and he asked me if I wanted him to build me a pink wall with love hearts on it. I was well chuffed.

He's since knocked it down though, to build some more space to grow food, which looks suspiciously like weed.....  ROFL

Should have built a roof garden....or a cellar, and run a cable from next doors meter.
