They should have been bombed into the stoneage....which, on the strength of it, wouldn't take much more than an ounce of Semtex.

What is it with this region, the cradle of civilisation - what's gone wrong apart from the backward religion seemingly practised unchanged and with fervour by so many people, even supposedly educated ones, with such hate and control especially over women, surely the complete opposite of what any god would demand and apparently what the Koran actually says if you listen to moderates who have managed to drag themselves and their religion into the 21st century, problem is there are so few of later and so many of the brainwashed former.. Even the women of Iraq say they were freer and safer under the Saddam regime - in general.

So many wasted British lives lost in returning this country back to their Barbarism.

That's an excellent point...it could be argued that Christianity has kept up with the times....except for the fact that sky fairies don't exist that is.....I know of not one modern religion that has enhanced the lives of anyone...EXCEPT those who are supposedly in place to ensure that such a religion is practiced in the right spirit.

You wonder don't you how religion can have such a hold over presumably normal people. I'm wondering how it is that Iraqi and other Muslim men especially Shia (?), in this day and age and subject to all the technology and knowledge of the rest of the world that it brings which they embrace wholeheartedly while denying basic human dignity and rights, can sleep easily in the knowledge that their mother, sister and daughter will be left open to this kind of abuse - lawfully.

Underage sex is bread and butter to these sorts, not pie.
