Don’t turn your nose up at the thought, but sniffing a prospective partner’s armpit could be the ideal way to find true love.
According to scientists, a person’s odour can reveal whether or not they are in good health, meaning smell can be important in the selection of a mate.
To test the theory, a scientific speed dating night, organised as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival, will give participants ample opportunity to check out each other’s odorous oxters.
