I'm sure he doesn't give a toss about football - that's for the oiks. Maybe rugger and the Ashes might get him going. Let's not forget that he claimed to like the music of the Smiths, and then their guitarist Johnny Marr forbade him to do so. I feel like doing the same - get lost, Cameron, we Hammers are not going to let you support our club."

Now he claims it was due to 'brain fade' - he momentarily 'forgot' he was a Villa fan. What? Does he sometimes forget whether he prefers Watneys to Pimm's? I think not.

Suggesting that non-football Brits will not care about his [David Cameron's] slip misses the point. I don’t think anybody actually cares who he supports. The slip is damaging in the sense that it reeks of insincerity.
