A Strangeways prisoner was caught with four mobile phones, four 'improvised chargers' and four SIM cards ... hidden up his backside.
Convicted robber Steven Wallace was being admitted to HMP Manchester, on November 10, when he set off an electronic body scanner.
He was challenged by guards and handed over two phones and two chargers which he had hidden in his anus, Manchester Crown Court heard.
But Wallace admitted there was MORE to come and was put in a cell for the night.
The next day he produced two more phones, two more chargers and four SIM cards.
Guards have found mobile phones inside Strangeways on SEVENTY occasions in recent months.
The devices are banned in prison and many of those recovered in recent months are key fob-sized devices which, smugglers hope, can be more easily concealed internally and externally.
The latest case was brought to court after Steven Wallace set off an electronic BOSS chair - body orifice security scanner - and an electric wand scanner
