Re: Do You Remember??????
I missed that one, I have a record somewhere of Los Lobos singing that and other stuff. I hardly know about any modern stuff, with the possible exception of Kasabian and Kings of Leon etc been around for a while now though so not exactly up to the minute. I think its due to a lack of Top of the Pops type programmes and the Family Favourites, Children's Favourites and Forces Favourites. I don't download, I like a cd at the very least, vinyl is best to get the whole experience.I usually notice something on the adverts that may grab my attention, am I missing much, I don't think I am on the whole, if Simon Cowell et al kind of programme is anything to go on. Never mind a tune just have a 'big' voice and screech your head off, murder the notes and get a standing ovation.

hiya flix.
as a kid my parents listened to like of frank sinatra, max bygraves and stuff like that. i didnt discover chart music till i was about 9-10. over recent years musics just turned into mindless divel imo. video of aniana grande and some bloke....i couldnt last more than 1 minute then had to switch it off. if that is meant to be music you can keep it.
my tastes are so varied, depending on my mood at the time, i dont really have a favourite style as such.
i like some chart stuff but most of it i could well do without.
there has been nothing new in the music industry for years...no new genre of music, all the groups and artists just seem to sound the same to me.
my least favourite would be classical i think but i like some of it. . this bloke though flix, was on BGT. I dont actually watch that as i dont have a TV but saw him on youtube. OMG! he is a creative genius with what he does and every piece i heard from him gave me such a surge of excitement in my guts, like somethifng amazing is just about to happen. it's kind of new age classical and i cant wait for this guys album to come out.
give this a listen and let me know what you think

Re: Do You Remember??????
I agree with you very impressive. That young man should go far
I like anything really, not wild about jazz or rap but just about anything from 1910's (my dad used to sign songs popular during the first world war) through swing, not all that fussed on early rock and roll, into the 60's/70's which I grew up with and onwards, I even like some stuff from now provided I manage to get to hear it, there doesn't seem to be much that leaves an impression and you can sing along with - not like Jumpin' Jack Flash, San Fransico, Ride a White Swan etc. There's something about the music of the sixties though probably because it was my golden years.
