The last thing our soldiers need is  '' Backshooters '' in their ranks.

Its all very well praying like that while off duty as Muslims did in the trenches during the first world war as stated in one of the comments or at for want of a better phrase 'church parade' but on duty whether in a war zone or on training duties - no do what others do and pray as you go so to speak, if all comes to a stop for prayers five times a day what about the Catholics is everything to come to a stop for mass, do Jews get to put on their regalia and say their prayers in the middle of a training session? Do the MOD envisage a sort of referee to blow a whistle in the midst of battle so everything stops for prayers? I would guess in the midst of battle many an ardent prayer is said in a Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh,  Buddhist and Muslim mind without all bowing and scrapping, I wonder which any god would prefer, the nice church, temple, synagogue, mosque prayer by rote or the geniune silent plea.
