He may be right, not much surprises me about politicians.

Politicians are in work like most of us islanders and they want the best which suits their own personal greed, sod the hoi polloi.

They will vote for that which fills their bank accounts where possible

yes they seem to think unelected lords and others may try and overturn the democratic vote of the british people. Don;t think it will happen as it would prove voting is a waste of time. It may even bring about violent scenes from some quarters.
