British public could be sold milk from cows with udder infections after Brexit
The British public could be forced to buy milk and dairy produce that comes from cows with infected udders following Brexit.
Trade deals negotiated as the UK leaves the European Union could see imports of lower quality milk and dairy from America hit our shelves.
Currently, UK and EU milk standards are seen as a ‘trade barrier’ to the US.
In order to secure a UK-US trade deal, there is pressure on Liam Fox, International Trade Secretary, to push for regulations which would allow inferior milk and dairy. ......

All milk should be sold with a picture of Nigel Farage and a message
' Thanks for voting Brexit, enjoy your Shit Milk '

Why do you think milk is 'processed' even in the EU?
No one will be forced to drink anything, you have a choice, there are plenty of alternatives.
Its even just possible we could get our diary industry back.

Bob, these food scares perpetrated by the EU are nonsense. Chlorinated chicken for instance, would that be better than the 20% of chicken that currently comes from the EU containing salmonella. We buy chlorinated salad from the EU without any side effects.fatbob5 wrote:The British public could be forced to buy milk and dairy produce that comes from cows with infected udders following Brexit.

the milk issue is another scare story for the stupid. american milk is just as good as british milk, it comes by the gallon and is far more tasty than the EU muck you get in the EU and even turkey.

I dispute anyone would be forced to accept it, yes. It may be an option when we get a trade deal with america, but not sure that sending milk 3500miles across an ocean is very economical.fatbob5 wrote:So you dont dispute the fact that we might be forced to accept it?Flap Zappa wrote:

You don't have a problem being forced to accept EU chicken with salmonella rates of up to 20%, or EU chlorine washed salad .
Re: British public could be sold milk from cows with udder infections after Brexit
Let me tell you a story.
Years ago I had an old Brummy mate, scruffy bleeda but a heart of gold, always made a few quid cash in hand, never worked.
He had three strapping sons just like himself
He musta been about 50 when he bought very cheaply a load of outdated smelly chicken portions, some was just in date, they washed it in his bathtub, would not tell me the substance they used, they hawked it around Brum really cheap, it soon went.
He bought more and more, he had to rent a warehouse and buy transport, he had vats of fluid everywhere
Within 20 years he and his sons had bought and paid for massive homes in Solihull, they were minted
He retired and the lads took over.
I wonder if it is still running or they are in jail.???
He spent the rest of his life angling and always took his 2 pet parakeets with him in a box.
So you see, where there's muck there's money.
I wonder if anyone died from their activities.
Funny enough I have had 2 mates both with the nickname Chicken George and Chicken Ernie, both made money from chicken

Hopefully, after Brexit, our old Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food can be reinstated and a start made on reversing the years of neglect and decline in our farming industry.
