A farmer who killed his sheepdog because he didn't round up his flock of sheep properly has been jailed for 18 weeks.

If the dog wasn't rounding up sheep properly, its the farmer's fault, he either isn't giving clear commands or he or whoever trained the dog didn't do it properly. I watch some of our local farmers trying to round up sheep, their commands are grunts, the dogs are trying their best to do their job, just as well they have an instinct for it ot they'd get no where. Many farmers are ignorant brutes.

Not all Border Collies are naturally suitable for sheepdog duties. I once had an absolutely beautiful, highly intelligent Border called Suzie who was shit scared of sheep!

A farmer-neighbour gave her to me as a youngster because she just wasn't cut out for that sort of work, but I loved her to bits and she was my constant companion for some years.

That nasty bugger who hanged his collie was an absolute disgrace to the noble occupation of farming, and I'd be front of the queue to cut off his bollocks with a rusty knife.

Its not a very noble occupation around these parts, must be inbred, some of these hill farmers, I'm suprised they all don't play banjos.
