Elon Musk reveals brain-hacking plans

NeuraLink, a company set up by Elon Musk to explore ways to connect the human brain to a computer interface, has applied to US regulators to start trialling its device on humans.

The system has been tested on a monkey that was able to control a computer with its brain, according to Mr Musk.

The firm said it wanted to focus on patients with severe neurological conditions.

But ultimately Mr Musk envisions a future of "superhuman cognition". ........

the problems with this is that humans dont just do one thing, they do a host of things at the same time and how will a computer differentiate those things

Have you ever heard of Thoughty2? He does a series of vids containing strange and interesting things about life, science, history,,, well everything actually. I watched one of his vids talking about the mind and they are trying to do this already, to read our minds our thoughts, and it is possible. Why Mind Reading Might Be Possible - YouTube here it is, he mentions this towards the end, 16.50 mins in. Facebook are developing tech to pick up thoughts from your neurons and turn them into words and Musk is also trying to design something similar. Not into that one bit.

My mind would crash the bloody system anyway lol!
