The no-deal documents that the government didn't want to release
The government has released documents relating to its "Operation Yellowhammer" preparations for a no-deal Brexit.
Having been ordered to reveal the details by MPs, the five pages published on the government website warn of a rise in public disorder, delays lasting three months at Channel crossings, "significant" electricity price rises and impacts on medicine and food supplies. ................

you do get these are all worse case scenarios and the whole thing is littered with COULD, not WILLfatbob5 wrote:The government has released documents relating to its "Operation Yellowhammer" preparations for a no-deal Brexit.

it is illegal under wto rules to withhold medicines. Insulin is produced in at least 8 countries, only 2 of them are in the EUfatbob5 wrote:A warning of what might happen, if medicines dont get in people might dienicko wrote:Er we are British Bob, don't try to frighten us !

currently most of our trade comes into port from outside the EU. A tiny fraction of it is inspected manually because the whole process id done electronically before entry. Remainiacs seem to think every lorry that comes here will be opened up an emptied, all they need is the correct paperwork. Even before the EU and free movement lorries carried goods across europe and few were ever inspected by opening them up and examining all the goods. It was done with the paperwork, which back then was mainly completed by hand before the lorry set off. I travelled all over europe trucking stage equipment with up to 5 40 foot trucks full of gear and we never had to pull the lot out at borders, even the east german border when going to berlin because the carnet's had been completed properly. the worst thing that ever happened was waking up in the bus with an east german Alsation sniffing me and a big east german border guard staring down at me. A quick check of passports and paperwork and we were on our wayfatbob5 wrote:Because of bureaucratic chaosnicko wrote:Why wont medicines get here ?

Reasonable Worst Case scenarios, there is a fair chance that they could happen.Flap Zappa wrote:

Ps I wonder why the government didn't want the information released?
Hmmmmm , I wonder.

no bob, worst case scenarios are not the ones most likely to happen, they are the worst case scenarios. Why didn't the people who compiled this report talk with the chief of the calais port, their answer was we weren't told to. The chief of the calais port suggests big delays are bollox.fatbob5 wrote:Reasonable Worst Case scenarios, there is a fair chance that they could happen.Flap Zappa wrote:

they didn't want it released because it was worst case scenarios and they did not want the media presenting it as what WILL happen, as they have been doing since release. Remainiacs are panicked enough, they dont need more to get the poor dears fretting.

if it's paperwork is correct yes it does, just like it does now. You do know that vat is different between eire and NI. That is dealt with via paperwork. And then we send 80% of the vat back to the EU.fatbob5 wrote:So, anything from Europe just gets waved through.Flap Zappa wrote:
