Tell me what the point of these White House briefings are when the president responds to a question about whether he supports the idea that he’s secretly fighting satanic cults of cannibals and pedophiles by basically shrugging his shoulders and saying ‘what’s wrong with that?’

I mean, seriously, what’s left to ask after that? Apart from ‘is there a shrink in the White House?’ Beyond parody. Seriously.
