Re: a mammoth task
an idea that has been around for a long time. whether it is a good idea is another matter altogether. the mammoth died out because its habitat disappeared. IT's not likley that it could be released into the wild and might be nothing more than a zoo exhibit.
It might be more useful to concentrate on species which are facing extinction rather than ones that have gone extinct.

the chances of that are slim to say the least, however they could always manipulate a chickens DNA as it still has the genes for teeth.bill stickers wrote:Flap Meister wrote:an idea that has been around for a long time. whether it is a good idea is another matter altogether. the mammoth died out because its habitat disappeared. yes chickens have the gene for teeth, but it is switched off.
If you look at an ostrich, emu or large flightless bird there are many similarities with bipedal dinosaurs.
it is easy to see why it is thought they descended from dinosaurs.
