Why do LWs hate white people?

I've been looking at articles to do with the French shootings, and looking on other forums at comments and theories. On one site David from here says there was a witness who saw "a white man with tattoos". Now I've looked everywhere and there is no reference anywhere to the shooter being white - nowhere. You could almost feel the gloating in the post, as if to say "It's a white man, isn't that great?"

They're such hypocrits. They accuse RWs of generalising all muslims and calling us racists, yet they can demonize white people at every opportunity and pat themselves on the back about it. We all know Fatbob's posts, they're just blatant racism, putting the word White in large capitals for every little offence he can find. Just what do they get out of it?

his colour and creed is irrelevant....he needs to be caught- tried- and executed in the bastille!

Three gun attacks which left seven people dead and two wounded have sparked a security alert in south-western France, with fears that the same killer could be at work.

In each case the attacker is said to have been a gunman on a scooter, using the same gun, striking in broad daylight.

The attacks took place in Toulouse and the town of Montauban, 46km (29m) away.

The first two shootings saw soldiers targeted but the third took place at a school, where small children were shot.

What the victims have in common is that they belong to, or are associated with, ethnic or religious minorities - North African, Caribbean and Jewish.

That they were singled out is suggested by reports that, in at least one attack, the killer pushed aside a bystander to get to his victims.

A manhunt is under way and France has placed its national judicial police in charge of the investigation, with anti-terrorist investigators and specialists in serial crimes at its disposal.

While little has been reported about the identity or motivation of, in the words of Le Figaro newspaper, the "most wanted man in France", some of the strongest clues may have been left by the first attack.

Timeline of attacks

• 11 March: Imad Ibn-Ziaten shot dead in Toulouse while waiting to see man about selling his motorbike

While police have not been specific about the model, the most famous such gun is the US-made Colt .45, said by France's Le Point magazine to be the handgun of choice of French gangsters because of its powerful impact.

The same scooter, a Yamaha T-MAX 500 cm3 stolen in the Toulouse area on 6 March, was used in all three attacks, a police source told France's AFP news agency.

The first came at around 16:00 (15:00 GMT) on Sunday 11 March.

Imad Ibn-Ziaten, a 30-year-old staff sergeant in the 1st Airborne Transportation Regiment, was shot dead behind the Chateau de l'Hers school in a quiet district of Toulouse.

According to Le Figaro, Sgt Ibn-Ziaten, who was not in uniform, was unwittingly waiting for his own killer.

He had posted a small ad on a website to sell a Suzuki Bandit motorcycle, and the suspected gunman had arranged a meeting with him to see it.

Sgt Ibn-Ziaten had identified himself as a soldier in the ad, which was posted online at the end of February according to La Depeche newspaper, but he did not give his name.

The victim apparently received a phone call about the motorcycle just minutes before the attack, the paper says.

Sgt Ibn-Ziaten was found shot in the head, his motorcycle beside him.

French cyber police are working to extract clues from the two men's internet exchanges, Le Figaro says.

Sgt Ibn-Ziaten had a clean service record, prosecutors stressed, rejecting suggestions that there could have been a gangland element to his murder.

'Tattoo'

In the second attack, in Montauban on Thursday 15 March, 46 surveillance cameras picked up the gunman on his scooter, according to Le Figaro.

They showed "a man in dark clothing wearing a black helmet and riding a powerful scooter". They also showed him using little-frequented side-streets, suggesting he knew the town well.

Clues to a killer

• Said variously to be a small or average-height man, and "quite fat", or "athletic and well-toned"
  
• Said by one witness to have green eyes
  
• Has a tattoo or scar under one eye
  
• Uses a Yamaha T-MAX 500 cm3 scooter and wears a black helmet
  
• Possesses at least two guns, a .45 and a 9mm, and is at home with using fire-arms
  
• Said to have behaved calmly when shooting the soldiers at the cash machine

The CCTV footage available to investigators is said to include footage of the actual shooting, taken by the camera in the cash machine being used by the three soldiers the gunman attacked.

Two members of the 17th Airborne Combat Engineering Regiment, Corporal Abel Chennouf, 24, and Private Mohamed Legouad, 26, were killed. Both, like Sgt Ibn-Ziaten, were of North African origin.

A third paratrooper, 28-year-old Corporal Loic Liber from the French overseas region of Guadeloupe, was left in a coma.

There were numerous witnesses to the attack in Montauban, which occurred at around 14:00 outside a small shopping centre.

Before opening fire on the three unarmed, uniformed servicemen, the gunman reportedly moved aside an elderly woman, who was apparently also standing in line at the cash machine.

The killer was described as a small man who acted calmly, stopping to change the magazine of his pistol.

Witnesses described how he had turned over one of the wounded men who was trying to crawl away, and fired three more shots into him.

He was someone obviously used to handling a gun, a judicial source told AFP.

One witness, who described the killer as "of average height and quite fat", told French broadcaster RTL his helmet visor had been raised and she had seen his eyes and a tattoo or scar on his face.

In the same account, there was no indication of the killer's race.

'Everything he could see'

On Monday 19 March, a gunman on a moped attacked the Ozar Hatorah Jewish school in Toulouse.

He killed Jonathan Sandler, a 30-year-old rabbi and teacher of religion originally from Jerusalem, and his two sons Gabriel and Arieh, aged four and five.

The fourth victim was Myriam Monsonego, seven, daughter of the head teacher, who was reportedly grabbed by the hair and shot in the head.

A boy of 17 was also injured.

After opening fire with a 9mm weapon, the gunman switched to his .45.

In one respect, the third attack appears different from the others: the gunman reportedly fired indiscriminatingly inside the school grounds.

"He shot at everything he could see, children and adults, and some children were chased into the school," prosecutor Michel Valet told reporters.

Nicole Yardeni, a local Jewish official who saw security video of the attack, described the gunman as "determined, athletic and well-toned". She said he had worn a helmet with the visor down.

A mother whose son witnessed the attack said he had stared directly at children with "clear, green eyes", according to the Guardian newspaper.

Another detail that has emerged is that the killer appeared to be wearing a small camera around his neck.

As a result of the attack, Prime Minister Francois Fillon ordered security to be tightened at all schools and religious buildings in France.

Earlier, security was tightened at military bases in the south-west.

Nazi scandal

French media have speculated whether the attacks could be terror-related - an Islamist act of revenge against French forces deployed in Afghanistan, for example.

However, just one of the soldiers had served in Afghanistan, and the targeting of a Jewish school suggests a broader motive.


The fact that none of the soldier victims had a criminal record, other than a speeding offence in one case, seems to undermine the theory of a gangland motive. Furthermore, the soldiers in Montauban did not know the sergeant killed in Toulouse, according to France TV Info.

Robbery is another theory which does not seem to hold water: neither the motorbike in the first shooting nor money in the second were taken, police sources said.

Another suggestion is that these are race hate attacks. Toulouse is home to large communities of both Jews and North African Muslims.

Some commentators have voiced fears that French society is being targeted by a lone extremist like Anders Behring Breivik, who carried out attacks in Norway last summer.

"This event made me think immediately about the Oslo massacre last summer, the act of revenge on society of one isolated extremist," wrote Pierre Haski on the Rue89 news website.

In 2008, a scandal erupted over the 17th Airborne Combat Engineering Regiment when photos appeared of three paratroopers making Hitler salutes and posing with a Nazi flag.

Two soldiers were dishonourably discharged as a result while the third had already resigned, La Depeche reports.

According to the newspaper, one of the men has since re-joined the army and is now serving in the Chasseurs Alpins regiment, based in south-eastern France, while another is working in a restaurant in Montauban.

The third man, La Depeche says, has disappeared.

All of the theories remain speculation for now.

I haven't seen the comments regarding the shooter in Toulouse, but I have to defend Bob a little, he is just trying to show some of the right wingers on here how stupid it is to emphasise the colour/race of a criminal.

As to lefties hating white people, I don't think they do, though I do think they overly try to side with 'the underdog'.

I think Fatbob does it as a wind up to counter all the other posts that bash ethnics, which are constantly posted daily Tess, though he is way over the top of which i admit. Why are you so upset or angry about this? To me like with posts on any killers, I don't care what race they are at what religion they have, only that they are caught and taken off the streets. The fact is daily people use the race and religion of a killer to make an argument, maybe you should say the same to those on the far right who do this also. Killers come in all races there is crime all over the world and it is wrong to try and promte one is worse than the other, which we see on here daily.iF you find this wrong from some left wing posters of which i agree it is wrong to bash white people over this then you should do the same to those who bash other races on crime, is that not fair?

Well he took part in more than one shooting. How come he didn't lift his visor at the school? Why would he go to all the trouble of covering himself up and then lift the visor? Doesn't add up. Who knows...it could be that their heads have been filled at school with how evil we were for having an empire and exploiting ethnic people (no mention of course for the advancments we brought them) so they've got a guilt complex.

I wasn't implying you justified suicide killers SM. It just gets me mad when I see posts that seem to cheer when a killer or madman is white. Its like a witch-hunt. Serial killers are lunatics whatever their colour or creed, but I have to say that, from what I remember about the ADO threads, and certainly from the current one on LLA, it seems more important that the killer is white than the poor kids who got killed.

it could be argued that both LWers and RWers both use the misery of other people to make cheap political points on internet discussion boards, more so RWers in my opinion,
ps im not a stereotypical leftie, while i object to Capital Punishment, my opposition to it is not strong, its not a deep seated philosophical objection

ive only done that once recently, i use to do it a lot more when Mentor was active in the past, it seemed that he sent a large chunk of his day searching the internet for stories about dark skinned criminals

Bob, I think both sides are just as bad to be honest, though it is generally from the more extreme of both sides.

In my opinion, Tess, leftwingers buy into the latest fads and the latest meme of the day which in this day and age means whites are evil and even worse if they happen to be white and Christian. It is now taught almost opening in schools over here that whites are responsible for all the evil which exists in the world today. I actually sat in a class one day and was told that the ancient Egyptians were black and that they built the pyramids and that white people refused to give them credit for their great accomplishments because whites are racist. This was a white professor and as angry as any person I have ever met.

There is a tremendous amount of self-loathing going on among white leftists and I have no idea why, but I think it must have something to do with wanting desperately to appear more open-minded and tolerant than the rest of us and this somehow makes them better people.

Just a thought: Maybe the left is just relieved that a shooter isn't a minority? :shock:
