I haven't see that one. I tend to download everyhting for my Ipaq these days. I will look out for it.

tom is one of the funniest writers i have ever read his satire on africa i laughed out loud ells brill i gave acopy to a friend she did not get it at all perhaps her sense of humour was out of sync

I would imagine Smelly would have a lot in common with kaffir killer els ROFL

the blott books are good as well, much funnier than the TV adoptions.
some of the character names are fantastic.

a lot of tv or film adaptations are not nearly as good as the books
one authour that has made a good transition is dennis lehane shutter island/mystic river

I've seen shutter island but not read it. I enjoyed it a lot.

I've never read any Sharpe but by pure chance I d/ed a audio book by him. The Throwback which I'll listen to over Christmas. Has anybody read the Flashman series by George McDonald Fraser.....great reads and plenty of them.

Yes will do. I've just had a look at it and it's narrated by Simon Callow so it should be good ....
