Oh dear I will be in the doghouse tonight, just spent 90 bucks on amazon but in my defence I had 40 of them in gift cards. So its worth it

Sounds like you've got quite a hoard there, what's the fascination with England and the Royals (You're not Sarah Fergusson are you?). That's a lot of books and if you used some vouchers it seems great value.
Currently reading Ned Sherrin - in his anecdotage.

Trust me am so not Fergie - yuck . I am blond and have way more class than that Trollope.
I dunno just like reading about all royalties more past than present. Love history be it Brit or European.
Have you ever read Alan coren?
Loved Ned sherrin

Can't remember which thread and where people were going on about the north /south divide in the Uk but just finished rereading Stuart maconie's excellent book called pies and prejudice. Absolutely hilarious and spot on about a lot of stuff. I never did live further north than Oxford but have many friends and relations from up north like and it explained a lot.
