Can you really get fit in FOUR MINUTES every day? It's the hot new exercise craze. And amazingly, it worked for our (exhausted) guinea pig

I have heard of this and similar, high intensity for short periods type of stuff and that it's supposed to be good.

Ok...
Due to a bit of ill health ( possibly glucose intolerant but a NASTY viral infection since mid Nov may have caused this) I have recently gone on a bit of a fitness binge.
This could go into Hugh's Poos....I suppose.
Now lost 21LB since a day or 2 after Boxing Day...and have not starved once...( except for the numerous blood tests!).. I will come onto this in a bit.

There is no secret that anaerobic exercise ( resistive, like weight training) helps to rid the blood stream of any residual " glucose" and this helps to tone/build muscle.
This will help you to lose weight BUT consider that 1cm2 of muscle weighs 3 times that of 1cm2 of fat..... So it's a bit if a balancing act....weight loss is not the be and end all in getting fit!
A good 4 minutes even on a bike at full chat MUST help.
However, if this can be followed up by 1 hour of aerobic exercise ( such as walking at a steady pace ( say 3+ mph) will ensure that fat burning ( if you will) takes place.
The average person burns 100kcalorie per mile, by walking alone (or with someone else!!)

So, how the hell have I lost so much WEIGHT ( but have also put over an extra inch on my chest ..which is muscle) in just over 4 weeks?

Firstly, I have put myself on a <1400 kcal per day ( I did drop to 800 but I ended up not losing any weight... as I suppose that I went into starvation mode).
I have limited myself to <60g of carbs a day, have done 1/2 hr of anaerobic exercise a day and 4 to 6 miles walking a day....or a full hour of weights when it's been pissing down.

Pls consider that a large tortilla wrap, with a full tin of tuna, rocket and cucumber comes in at roughly 300 kcal....which is sod all...but will fill even the greediest of gannets from lunch to dinner time.

It's been a piece of piss...though the next stone will be a bit more if a challenge!
