10 points gives you a score of 1000 less the amount of seconds you take

9 points gives you a score of 900 less the amount of seconds you take

8 points gives you a score of 800 less the amount of seconds you take

etc etc

so 10 in 50 seconds gives you a score of 950
but 10 in 200 seconds gives you a score of 800

9 in 50 seconds gives a score of 850

8 in 60 seconds gives a score of 740

and so on

hope that clears things up for people.

I doubt if anyone is likely to get a score much higher than 960. and so far the highest is 955
I am not sure anyone will do it in less than 40 seconds.
