The hi-tech row that could kill off hopes of wireless charging for ANY gadget

A row between mobile phone firms is preventing consumers from enjoying one of the holy grails of technology - a universal, wireless system that can recharge everything from your phone to your laptop.
The wireless recharging method would allow devices to be re-energised while users are out and about.
However, rather like the VHS vs Betamax battle, rival firms are currently developing different methods which do not work together.
Experts are now warning that the failure of firms to co-operate could keep the technology from being widely available.............

The likes of Apple are most resistant to common standards. The Android phone manufacturers could use this obsession by Apple to gain an advantage.
