Angelas's Ashes!

The film is brilliant but after buying the book by Frank McCourt I was left wondering how the producer of the film came up with his interpretation of the book?
The book is crap but the films great??????????????

There are some exceptions when the books and films or TV series both blow you away such as the tv series " When the boat comes in " which will always be
the best adaptation from written word to TV portrayal is as good as it gets!
