These real life robots who are getting more and more realistic and advanced will, I believe, one day have a real place in modern relationships.
Seeing the way parts of society are now living their lives, communicating far more with machines than real people, especially youngsters who will mature relating more with man made gadgets than living and breathing humans I can honestly see attachments developing into relationships.
If the robots also look and act like real life attractive people I can definitely see future generations relating more to them than to  'us'.

It certainly is not love freely given but programmed, but if this helps those who find it challenging to date and shy. Then there is clearly is positives, even for companionship. The question to ask is will more and more people ditch having human relationships, in order to spare them heartbreak?
As you are certainly going to place yourself in a safe bet, by having one, by not having your emotions crushed. 

Would this then lead to a further decline as we are already seeing within face to face communication between people relationship wise. Already the advent of the internet and mobile phone has made loads of the younger generations inept and insecure at face to face communication.

I think this could lead to people becoming even more lazy, as now they do not have to work at their relationships. If they then had a relationship with a robot that is never going to be pissed at them.

Where can I get one, and how much are they?    Wife will buy me one for Xmas.

Its very interesting and whilst I can see some positives here. I see far more negatives for how humans may pan out. Once they no longer have to worry or care how to please someone you love. These relationships will be devoid of any challenge or need to work at. Which the best relationships are of those who care for each other by constantly working at their relationship. I doubt it would lead to any drop in people having children. There would be just a industry of surrogate mothers. Able to make a fortune out of this. If our need to daily care and love , requires no effort for someone requires no effort at all. Then it could lead to people overall not caring about much at all.. They will now have nothing to fear in regards to the the many issues that daily rise within a relationship for many people.

In a way it will certainly lead to more people being care free, which is a good thing in a way, but also negatives. Where people are in need of help, that requires people top care. It could very well lead to people becoming less emotive and with humans being less effected by emotions. It could also possible lead to less violence and wars. People would never fear to lose now their love to anyone else. As unless hacked, it will be completely loyal to its owner. With more people happy and care free, sadly issues could be easily ignored. Or because we are already emotional, it turns us further emotional, as we will not be able to cope with things like the suffering of others. Its hard to say how this would pan out and it could be a bit of both.

But how long would it take for then some people to champion the Robots having certain rights?

It's all a bit 'Stepford wives' really isn't it....I'm glad I wont be around if and when robots take the place of people in this way.

I don't get the way people even now relate more to mobile phones than the people they are actually with.....I had this conversation with my grandson on Sunday.
We are out eating and almost everyone else in the restaurant ....rather than communicating with the people they were with, were more intent on looking at their mobiles, I find that very odd and a bit insulting.
