A SCIENTIFIC analysis has shown that a Briton from 10,000 years ago had dark brown skin and blue eyes.
Researchers from London's Natural History Museum extracted DNA from Cheddar Man, Britain's oldest complete skeleton, which was discovered in 1903.
University College London researchers then used the subsequent genome analysis for a facial reconstruction. .......

Am I the only one not to be surprised by this?

The date is not long (roughly 2,000 years - equivalent to the blink of an eye in the history of the earth) after the final Ice Age when early man was moving north across the land bridge between what is now the British Isles and the then continent of Europe.

I find blue eyes interesting, but dark skin colour dosen't surprise me in the slightest as the likelihood is that his own forebears probably originated from the eastern side of the African continent.
