An artificial intelligence built to find evidence of extraterrestrial life has detected 72 mysterious signals emanating from deep space.

Any Incorrigibly Warmonger Alien species is likely to have destroyed itself well before acquiring advanced technology.
As for any horrifically evil species which have propensities like the characters in the film ' Hostel ' , they would have created artificial intelligence to torture

Any advanced warmongering aliens would have realised its easier to smash less sophisticated species than each other.

Think more along the lines of an imperialism and colonialism.
