TV presenter Beverly Turner joins thousands of anti-vaccine passport activists
TV presenter Beverly Turner has joined thousands of activists marching through central [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in a 'Unite for Freedom' protest to demand a ban on vaccine passports.
Demonstrators, also including London Mayor candidates Piers Corbyn and Laurence Fox, made their way through the capital earlier today as they waved banners and placards daubed with a range of slogans including 'no new normal' and 'no health passport'.
The crowds did not appear to be adhering to social distancing guidelines and were not wearing face masks.
The protest comes amid discussions over 'Covid-status certificates' being considered by ministers to help open up society, get people back into work or away on holiday despite concerns from Boris Johnson's own MPs that they will be 'intrusive, costly and unnecessary'.
Earlier this month, Britain's equalities watchdog warned the Government that vaccine passports could be unlawful, create a 'two-tier society' and discriminate against migrants, ethnic minorities and the poor.

Given up caring Bob.
If people want to rush out and get this needle then that's their choice.
I think they will live long enough to regret it.
I am happy that I've played no part in what may or may not be coming down the road.
And if you're interested, the CDC has recorded over 4000 vaccine deaths, more than all the deaths from vaccines for the last couple of decades combined
But what do I know, you rush on out to take your dose bob.

Boris Johnson says Britain 'might have to wait' beyond June 21 to ditch all rules
Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock today poured fresh doubts on whether England's June 21 'freedom day' can go ahead as planned because of the Indian variant.
The Prime Minister admitted No10 may have to 'wait' for more data before pressing ahead with the easing of the final set of lockdown restrictions, while the Health Secretary told MPs it was still 'too early' to say if the roadmap needed to be slowed down in the face of the mutant strain.
Top scientists have called for Downing Street to delay next month's lockdown-easing because of the spread of B.1.617.2, which has been found in half of England's 300-plus local authorities.
SAGE member Professor John Edmunds said he would advise Boris Johnson not to take the next step as planned because 'at the moment it looks a little bit risky'.
Meanwhile, fellow adviser 'Professor Lockdown' Neil Ferguson warned the plans to ease restrictions hang 'in the balance'. He said the now-dominant strain would trigger a 'small third wave' but that the next two or three weeks would be 'critical' in deciding whether it was safe to move to step four on the roadmap
