Euro 2012
Well the day is here....so far can't say that I have seen anything stupendous but Denmark winning was a surprise. Shame Ireland lost.....what was Shay thinking in coming out? Oh well c'mon England. Let's hope Roy can do something that Fabio, Even, Sir Bobbie and even the blessed Kevin couldn't do - get them to win something. Is 8am too early to start drinking

Because they had 9 men behind the ball and went out to stop France playing and nothing more.

Exactly! Which is why they will never advance. Awful strategy ....why bother showing up then?

Good show from the Man City boys
Hate to say it, cause I hate the arrogant shrek-alike, but we do need Rooney up front. Scott Parker is a waste of space imho. The match was dull I thought but then so have most of the openers that featured 'contenders' for the championship. Always a bit slow to start these things, though I expect us to suffer if we make it through- against Spain or Italy

They all were but if he hadn't been I think there would have been 2 more French goals....his corners were not great.
Son of same opinion as you regarding ref whereas I thought he was ok...not great few missed calls but ok.

Agreed but he is suspended. Then again he wasn't magic 2 years ago. So far Poland vs Greece has been most exciting and that was due to sending offs although terrific save by backup goalie.

England were improved but they will sit back at times and invite the opposition to attack.

Yup they score first and get cocky and practically hand over a goal on silver platter....not a good way to win. I've always said take them as individuals on their teams and they shine. Put them together as national team and it all falls apart. Giving away possession all the time is also counterproductive.

Parker is a joke!
Christ, stevie wonder could complete more passes than him.
Not impressed with young either.
Put the "Ox" , the "pig" (Rooney) and the whippet (theo) on and see what happens!
