it sounds like a ridiculous idea, but if it can stop re-offending and lower crime and rehabilitate offenders then maybe its worth a try, however if those on this trial re-offend then they should be incarcerated immediately.
My gut instinct will be the criminals will pull the wool over the eyes of the people in charge and little will improve.

I cant see how letting violent criminals onto it can be safe though.

If you therefore are the VICTIM of a violent attack , you should not rely on justice ,but take the law into your own hands and seek vengeance on your attacker. You will then be classed as a violent offender , but be released as you will have no intention of re-offending as you have had your justice.

Gove was a damn good, tough, no-nonsense education minister...but under the influence of "Call Me Dave's" sickeningly wet and PC administration he has clearly gone native. Shame.

Liverpool had one of these courts and it worked
Then they pulled the funding.
