Jurassic World Review
It's a good film but one that you need to watch twice as it seems to improve the second time around. The plot is very similar to the original movie; annoying kids trapped in a dinosaur park, mental management making risky decisions, a hero and heroine and superb effects.
The heroine starts out as part of the mental management team who seem to overlook safety in exchange for awe-inspiring thrills which make money. The hero is played by Chris Pratt who nails the role perfectly and is sure to go to bigger and better things in Hollywood. The kids let the film down in my opinion, the eldest is too vague and distant to bond with whilst the youngest is so annoying; you want to slap him half way through the film.

I had high hopes for the original Jurassic Park because I like the idea of dinosaurs being resurrected, but somehow it didn't quite work for me - not enough intrigue maybe. Maybe this one will be better.

What definitely comes across is the American way of packaging things into theme parks, overtly commercialized and way too cheesy; From Seaworld to Disney. In this film the scientists start meddling with species DNA and produce a hybrid... a bit like Didge's DNA split with Sassys and a bit of Phil's thrown in for good measure.

Re: Jurassic World Review
I went to see it when it came out and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's an action fantasy romp, not Shakespeare so you get what you pay for. Plenty of thrills with a bit of smaltz thrown in. been meaning to watch it on dvd for a week or 2 but not the mrs's cup of tea so haven't had time. However she is off to her mums for a few days so should be able to watch it with the surround sound turned up.
also hope to watch Kajaki and Fury over the next couple of days as well. Saw Fury at the pictures and really enjoyed it. Heard good things about Kajaki

Re: Jurassic World Review
God afternoon Folks.
Myself & Mrs.Shady watched this movie last night & quite enjoyed it.Although my wife said that she was glad that we didn't pay to see it at the cinema.
There were the usual excellent special effects but I think that the Jurassic Park franchise has gone as far as it can now.
There were a couple of silly bits in the movie which I'd like to pint out: The first being the release of the pterodactyls.I don't believe that they would go straight on a murderous rampage of the humans & would probably spend their initial release time looking for somewhere to roost & would generally just fly about.
Secondly, following the fight between the baddie dinosaur, the T-Rex & the V Raptor & the subsequent troughing of the baddie dinosaur,it looked like the T-Rex & Raptor were going to kiss each other.
I'm glad we were lent the DVD.

I will have to watch this but I'm still getting over Fury Road, to think I paid to see a veeeeery long car chase. What happened to the story, did it get run over in the first scene?

So Fury Road was a thumbs down then. Does anybody reckon that the BBC's movie critic - Mark Commode is on the old snuff-snuff, I mean what planet is he on?
