Ann Widdecombe: Science may 'produce an answer' to homosexuality
Brexit Party MEP Ann Widdecombe has said science may "produce an answer" to homosexuality.
The former MP made the comment in an interview on Sky's Sophy Ridge on Sunday at the beginning of Pride month, four weeks dedicated to celebrating the LGBT community, with this year marking 50 years since the Stonewall riots. .............

she was asked a question and she answered honestly, unusual for most mp's. she didn't say science should or could produce a cure, she said it may one day. some gay people may may jump at the chance to be straight, many probably wouldn't, but should those that might want to be denied.fatbob5 wrote:Brexit Party MEP Ann Widdecombe has said science may "produce an answer" to homosexuality.

The implication of her comments is that there are gay people who are unhappy because of their sexuality and would be happier if they were straightFlap Zappa wrote:

How do you know there aren't people who would prefer to be straight? If there are don't we have as much duty to them as we do to gay and transgender people for them to be happy?

that is quite true. Every one assumes all gay people love being gay. It is surely no different that trans people wanting to change sex. Should they be happy with what they were born with. who knows, one day science may find a way for them to change sexfatbob5 wrote:The implication of her comments is that there are gay people who are unhappy because of their sexuality and would be happier if they were straightFlap Zappa wrote:

Re: Ann Widdecombe: Science may 'produce an answer' to homosexuality
Part of the reason why certain gay people are unhappy might well be the discrimination and prejudice they face
Ps . What if one day science finds a way of turning hetrosexual people gay
