The shipment of 400,000 gowns from Turkey which was part of a delayed consignment of personal protective equipment (PPE) has been impounded in a warehouse after falling short of UK standards. ..........

We need to have businesses *** in this country *** capable of producing PPE, even if it means government subsidies

they say the sleeves are too short. It doesn't say by how much. 1/2inch or 6 inches?

could they possibly have failed the requirements because they are over zealous, We have no idea

Whether the Gap is 1/2 inch or 6 inches is irrelevant, there is still a gap.

If a parachute isn't 100% useful, then it is 100% useless.

not at all., sleeves half a inch short can be covered with the elasticated arm guards quite easily.

you arent jumping out of a plane so no parachute required. that said, many people have survived parachutes not working at 100%

True
It is possible to survive a jump with a parachute not working correctly.
You will probably end up with numerous broken bones though
