They don't actually. That's what 230 does, it allows them to be a platform, not an editorial organisation.

230 allows them a measure of protection from lawsuits for content posted on their platforms, when they begin to edit content they are abusing the protection of 230.

Also they can't ban some people while ignoring others who do the same thing, unless of course you think calling for a shoot to be shot up is acceptable??

However that decision have cost twitter 5% of its share value so far as trump accounted for 83million of twitters monetized used

they banned him now because there was no time to remove their section 230 protections. However the demorats may rue the day they applaud this as they VP is not a fan of big business and will no doubt try to take them down.

The BLM protests were against a real issue, the fact that some US Police Officers use excess force on people

The Capitol Hill attacks were against a deranged fantasy.
No evidence has been provided that there was widespread voter fraud which cost Trump the GE

Over 60 court cases, not once has any judge agreed with the assertion of widespread voter fraud
