Scottish Open 2012

The scottish open started yesterday with some cracking round. Molinari with an excellent 62 10 under par and Luke donald the defending champion on 6 under par. Lets hope the torrential rain holds off this year as last year they had a mon ths rain over night and the course looked more like a lake with a hillside collapsing onto one of the fairways.


I really enjoy the BBC golf coverage and the commentators are excellent. Peter Allis and Ken Brown are by far the best golfing commentators around. I watched the first round of the irish open a week or so ago and they had a totally different set of local commentators and I could not bring myself to watch it all. It is not the same without Peter Allis's wry commentary and Ken's Ken on the course spots.

what a cracking finish to the scottish open. Anybody's game right up until the last holes and a fantastic playoff between mollinari and singh.
Singh winning on the playoff on the 18th with a birdie after being in the clubhouse for over an hour.
