An eighth man is due to be sentenced next week.
Police, who made the first arrests in September, found cocaine and drug-cutting paraphernalia stuffed into shopping bags and flushed down toilets in houses linked to the gang.
All eight admitted possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and money laundering ahead of the sentencing on Friday at Ipswich Crown Court.
Albert Krasniqi, 27, was arrested with £400,000 worth of euros in a bag in September. Police believe his car was used to smuggle drugs and cash across international borders.
The other seven members of the group – Olsin Llanga, 28, of Turnpike Lane; Bledar Vranari, 34, Churchill Gardens, Pimlico; Bledar Kellici, 26, of Cricklewood Broadway; Enrik Mullahi, 27, of no fixed address; Taulant Bushi, 37, of Cricklewood; Artur Sufaj, 36, of Gleneagle Road; and Aurel Hoxha, 27, of no fixed address – were arrested later the same day in houses across the capital.
When officers searched Llanga’s house they found Kellici and Bushi had flushed a mix of caffeine and paracetamol – often used to cut heroin – down the shower and toilet.
Det Insp Steven Miles from the Organised Crime Partnership, which cracked the gang alongside the National Crime Agency and the Met, said: “It’s rare to take out every layer of a gang, especially one as complex as this, but that’s exactly what we’ve done.”
Llanga and Sufaj were jailed for 10 years eight months and Mullahi for eight years while Krasniqi, Kellici, Hoxha and Bushi all got six years. Vranari will be sentenced on April 1.
Guilty: Taulant Bushi, Albert Krasniqi, Enrik Mullahi, Aurel Hoxha, and (bottom row) Bledar Vranari, Artor Sufaj, Olsin Llanga and Blendi Kellici all admitted money laundering and possession of class A drugs with intent to supply (Pictures: National Crime Agency)

Clive Glasford leaving Birmingham Crown Court
A city council housing officer raped a “vulnerable” single mother fearful of losing her home while her child slept next to her has been jailed for five years.
Clive Glasford of Pamela Road, Northfield, has been jailed for five years for the sex attack at the victim’s house following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court.
The 47 year-old had pleaded not guilty to the offence.
He was acquitted of a further charge of rape and one of sexual assault.
Recorder Hill QC told the former Birmingham City Council worker: “It seems to me from the evidence I have heard you were strongly attracted to her.
“Although there was an age gap of over 20 years you were keen and pursued a relationship with her.
“Clearly she was vulnerable up to a point, because as a single mother she was fearful of losing her house.
“You were clearly not only breaching your code of conduct as a housing officer, as the jury found, you went much further than that.”
He said the victim had been prepared to have a friendly relationship with the defendant but continued: “I am satisfied it was you who lead the way so far as moving the relationship further.”

Ayub Mabrouk
A Libyan diplomat's son has been jailed for hiding guns and ammunition for gangsters.
A 9mm pistol and silencer, a sawn-off shotgun and hollow-point bullets designed to explode on impact were found after police raided the home of Ayub Mabrouk last October.
Manchester Crown Court heard that the 27-year-old - whose father is an official with the Libyan embassy - posed brandishing weapons in photos found on his mobile phone.
The business student, who claims he did charity work steering young people away from crime, has now been jailed for five years after admitting possessing prohibited firearms and ammunition.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police’s gang-busting unit, the Xcalibre Task Force, raided Mabrouk’s family home at Epping Street, Hulme, suspecting drugs were at the property.
A Baikal pistol, a magazine containing two hollow-point bullets and a silencer were found in a plastic bags inside a box on the landing.
Another bag found contained a sawn-off shotgun wrapped in a T-shirt.
Mabrouk’s DNA and fingerprints were found on the weapons, which were replica firearms that had been converted to fire live cartridges.
A search of his room turned up 14 12-bore shotgun cartridges, along with six 9mm bullets and three more hollow-tip bullets.

A cocaine and heroin dealer was snared after his selfies with wads of dirty cash were found by police.
Junior Francis, 33, boasted about his extravagant lifestyle before being caught with £7,000 cash and £75,000 worth of crack cocaine and heroin during a raid on his home.
Several pictures recovered from his phone showed him posing with wads of cash pressed like a telephone to the side of his face.
And in an Instagram post he quoted gangster rappers Notorious BIG and Method Man, writing "everything I got I work hard for it" under a picture showing thousands of pounds in cash on a kitchen top.
Junior Francis quoted gangster rappers Notorious BIG and Method Man in Instagram posts Francis initially denied any involvement in drug dealing during an interview after the raid on his home in Campbell Close, Lambeth, in November last year.
But when police looked on his mobile phone, they found evidence of the proceeds of drug dealing and links to street level dealers in south London.
Francis was jailed for six years and eight months at Inner London Crown Court on Wednesday after admitting possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and money laundering.
DC Matthew Clark from Lambeth Police's CID said: "Francis used bullying and intimidation to facilitate his drugs business.
"From start to finish he denied having any money or dealing drugs but was ultimately undone by his vanity, taking selfies and boasting on social media.
"Removing Francis from our streets has removed a key contributor to the drugs trade in Lambeth."

Gangsters involved in a £2m drugs conspiracy have been handed sentences totalling more than 50 years after a police surveillance operation.
The covert investigation focused on Cheetham Hill-based drug dealers who smuggled 10kg of heroin from the Netherlands and plotted to supply criminals in Lancashire.
Manchester Crown Court heard that in May last year a lorry driver - who was jailed in a separate hearing - brought in 10kg of heroin, worth £1.97m, via Dunkirk and Calais.
Qadir Hussain, 34, helped arrange the movements of the consignment, which was intercepted by police on the M6 on its way to Manchester, and has been jailed for eight years and eight months.
In June, Qadir Hussain and his associate Kasim Zaffar, 28,who has been jailed for ten years, arranged to supply heroin to Jonathan Clarke, 40, a crook, formerly of Huddart Close, Salford, who travelled down from Blackpool to buy, having used a female associate of the Cheetham Hill mob, Pinky Singh, 25, as a go-between.
When officers closed in on Clarke’s car at Middleton, he fled from the vehicle barefoot, wearing a single latex glove, with the kilo of drugs, worth up to £126,000, in his hand. He has been jailed for eight-and-a-half years.
When the conspirators were arrested Qadir Hussain’s house at Heywood Street, Cheetham Hill, was searched and about £100 of heroin was recovered, plus more than £10,000 in cash.
At Pinky Singh’s home at Curzon Avenue, Longsight, nearly a kilo of cannabis, worth £9,000 was found, along with 24g of MDMA, worth £900. She has been jailed for seven-and-a-half years.
The final conspiracy, in August, involved Kasim Zaffar teaming up with Majid Akhtar, 24, who has been jailed for six years, and Rashid Akhtar, 25, who got four years and eight months, to supply a criminal from Nelson, Adeel Shah, 27, with cocaine.
Shah, of Hartley Street, Nelson, who has been jailed for 49 months, sent his law student girlfriend, Sony Khan, 21, of Colne Road, Burnley, to collect, but she was pulled over shortly after the handover in Blackley with a quarter kilo of the drug, worth £29,760, and has been jailed for 30 months.
When Majid Akhtar’s home at Victoria Avenue East, Blackley was searched, a debtor’s list was recovered with ‘five figure’ sums on it.
At Kasim Zaffar’s home at Limesteed Avenue, Crumpsall, £2,262 was found, and at Rashid Akhtar’s home at Parslow Avenue, Crumpsall, 177g of heroin, worth £25,400 was recovered.
Zaffar, Hussain and Rashid Aktar admitted conspiracy to supply heroin.
Hussain also admitted conspiracy to supply cocaine alongside Rashid Akhtar, Majid Akhtar and Adeel Shah. Jonathan Clarke and Pinky Singh were convicted of being concerned in the supply of heroin with Singh also being convicted of possessing MDMA and possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
Sony Khan was convicted of possessing cocaine with intent to supply.
Sending them all down, Judge Michael Leeming said: “You are all fully aware that heroin and cocaine are dangerous drugs - blights on society, their use causes untold misery and degradation.”

A teenager was filmed being raped by one man and sexually assaulted by another when she passed out after drinking and smoking pot. The 19-year-old victim had no idea what had happened to her until her friend saw the footage of her on Yahye Mohammed Mohamud's phone. Mohammed Hassan, 22, had been drinking and smoking cannabis when he abused the 19-year-old as she lay comatose on a bed on 5 May 2011. His friend Mohammed Nur Isse, 22, raped her while Mohamud, 25, recorded it on his mobile. Somalian Hassan went with the victim to the police station to support her after his friends were arrested before fleeing to Sweden where he lived under the name 'Ahmed'. The victim has said her trust in men has been destroyed since the attack. Bearded Hassan, who was supported by his mother, aunt and grandfather, was today (Thurs) jailed for 20 months for the assault at Southwark Crown Court. Isse admitted raping the girl in 2013 and was jailed for six years with an extension of two years on license at Woolwich Crown Court. Mohamud locked up for 15 months after pleading guilty to sexual assault and voyeurism at the same court. Prosecutor Gino Connor said: 'The complainant was with friends and the three defendants drinking in Brixton park during the afternoon of 4 May 2011.' The party eventually headed back to Mohamud's flat in Southwark and continued drinking and smoking cannabis. 'There came a time when she fell asleep and she was taken into the bedroom where there was a double bed, placed on the bed and went to sleep. 'The others at that time remained in the lounge and there comes a time in the early hours of the 5 May when the three defendants enter the bedroom and remove her leggings,' said Mr Connor. 'It is at this stage the Isse gets on top of her and rapes her and that is filmed by the second defendant Mohamud.' They then left the girl, who was still unaware of the sickening abuse she had suffered, and were 'gloating in the bathroom'. Hassan then straddled the girl and masturbated over her as he was filmed 'in a similar situation to the first defendant'. 'Next day she woke up, felt a little sore around the hip area, no doubt because of the way she had been straddled by at least two of the males,' said Mr Connor 'She was completely unaware of what had happened.' But one of her friends spotted the horrific footage on Mohamud's phone. 'The police were then called, the two defendants - not this defendant - were arrested and taken to the police station,' said Mr Connor. 'Mr Hassan attended the police station with the complainant and another friend.' The victim still did not know Hassan had also mercilessly taken advantage of her - but he was later identified from the clothing he wore on the video. But he then fled to Sweden and lived there for well over two years using the false name 'Ahmed' before he was identified and extradited. Irshad Sheikh, for Hassan, said: 'He was drinking at the time what he believed to be Fanta. He believes that Fanta may have been spiked.' Hassan was 'completely shocked' when he was shown the video and had no recollection of abusing the girl, Mr Sheikh told the court. 'He is deeply ashamed to be described as a sex offender, he is deeply remorseful, he has pleaded guilty, he has brought great shame on his family,' he said. 'He said he would rather die than do anything like this again.' Jailing Hassan for 20 months, the judge, Mr Recorder Gibson Grenfell said the sex attacker straddled the girl while she was 'completely comatose'. 'To add to her degradation the episode was filmed, she remembered nothing of what happened until told of that video showing what all three of you had done,' he said. 'You had been smoking cannabis and one way or another you had drunk alcohol.' Hassan, of Aylesford Road, Birmingham, was jailed for 20 months for the assault. He will also be made the subject of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order for at least 10 years. Isse, of Lea Hall Road, Birmingham, admitted rape and was jailed for six years. Mohamud, of Wendover House, Therlow Street, Walworth, south London, pleaded guilty to sexual assault and voyeurism and was jailed for 15 months. ends http://www.courtnewsuk.co.uk/?news_id=40364 |

Justina Oyekunle, who also worked in a care home, sat as a JP for the Manchester and Salford region from 2006 and was told she could claim expenses for loss of income.
But Liverpool Crown Court heard that over a three year period she claimed more than £6,000 she was not entitled to.
“It was made clear she was only able to claim financial loss for salary or income lost as a direct result of sitting as a magistrate,” said Henry Riding, prosecuting.
It had to be the actual loss rather than the maximum rate allowed per day or half day, he explained.
“It was made crystal clear the claim had to be for actual loss of earnings they would otherwise receive.”
Liverpool Crown Court heard that she filled in annual declarations from 2007 which were administered locally but in 2013 the Courts and Tribunal Service centralised the scheme and it was discovered that she had been claiming at the maximum rate for particular sessions.
Investigations revealed that she was working at a care home as a nurse but she did not generally work on Thursdays - the only day she sat as a magistrate - and if she did she worked her shifts around the court session, said Mr Riding.
She was paid a total of £6,622 to which she was not entitled, the court heard.
Judge David Aubrey, QC, said, “Between July 2010 and May 2013 you repeatedly, persistently and dishonestly claimed expenses that you were simply not entitled to.
“Sums you were not entitled to and sums this court is quite satisfied you were fully aware you were not entitled to. Such false claims were made in my judgement in breach of a high degree of trust placed in you and the judiciary to make only legitimate claims.”
He continued, “You sat in judgement no doubt on many many defendants between 2010 and 2013. Every time you did so on those Thursdays you were doing so with hypocrisy.
“The seriousness of the offences outweighs you personal mitigation. You were faced with the responsibility of applying the law and passing judgement and sentence on those before you. By doing what you did you betrayed the trust the public rightly expects from those who sit in judgement on them.
“The result is damage, or potential damage to the reputation of our judicial system and that correspondingly reduces confidence in that system.”
Sentencing her to six months imprisonment he added, “You had shown no remorse whatsoever”.
Oyekunle, of Corporation Road, Denton, pleaded guilty to fraud between July 2010 and May 31, 2013.
Victoria Hayton, defending, said that Oyekunle, a Nigerian, “appreciates the serious position she is in and knows it clearly crosses the custody threshold because of the abuse of the position she held at the time she committed these offences.”
She has kidney dialysis three times a week and is due to have a kidney transplant in June and both she and her daughter are terrified at the prospect. She goes into “crisis” when under stress which is why she not want to have a trial on the fraud charge.
“She had worked extremely hard to become a magistrate and it is punishment that she has thrown that away and she is extremely remorseful.”
She had taken her former bosses to an employment tribunal after they forcibly reduced her hours and she was awarded £6,000 which she is anxious to pay in compensation to the court.

Banti Singh travelled from London to meet the Walsall teenager
A homeless paedophile invented a false identity to lure a Walsall schoolgirl into sex as he exploited and controlled her during an eight-month online grooming campaign.
Banti Singh, of no fixed address, told the girl he was younger than his 30 years and claimed to work in a restaurant when he initially made contact with the teenager on Facebook.
However, the illegal immigrant, who called himself Velly Boy online, was actually living rough in London and had travelled to meet his victim in the West Midlands.
Singh was jailed for a total of seven years after admitting 12 counts of sexual activity with a child and three counts of child abduction during an earlier hearing at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Alex Baah was jailed for 18 years today for a horrific series of rapes on a 13-year-old girl
A sex attacker who repeatedly raped a 13-year-old was jailed for 18 years today.
Ghanaian Alex Baah, of south-east London, paid the girl £2 after each assault, the Old Bailey heard.
The 42-year-old raped the girl at an address near Croydon and sent her perverted text messages, the court was told.
The victim finally complained to police in August 2013 when she was aged 15.
Jobless Baah denied touching the girl and claimed she had planted evidence and stole his mobile to send the messages.
But the jury convicted him of five counts of rape committed between 2010 and 2013.
The jury failed to reach verdicts on a further two counts of raping the girl when she was eleven and those charges were dropped.
Judge Simon Farrell told the father-of-three his behaviour was ‘wicked'.
He said: ‘This was a terrible case. The damaged caused to this girl is incalculable.'
The judge added: ‘Rape of a child is a particularly serious offence and calls for severe punishment.’
The girl, who cannot be identified, told how Baah would give her money after he raped her.
After an attack in early August 2013, she turned up unexpectedly at her aunt’s house in floods of tears.
Her aunt said: ‘As soon as she arrived at my house she walked through the door and said: “He’s been touching me”.
‘I called her mother and she managed to get hold of her first but she was hysterical and wasn’t talking clearly. Then she showed me the text messages.'
Baah’s name had been was saved in the girl’s phone under ‘P****’, the court heard.
Traces of Baah’s DNA were found on the girl’s clothes during a medical examination after she alerted police.

Payback: Scammer Rilwan Oshodi has been told he must repay nearly £1million in fraudulent gains
A scammer who was the ringleader of a fraud gang has been ordered to repay nearly £1million which he stole from the life savings of an innocent victim.
Rilwan Oshodi bought Karen Budow's bank account details for just £3,200 and spent her savings on cheeseburgers, bottles of champagne and top-of-the-range computers.
He now claims he is so broke he can't even pay his lawyers - but a judge told him today that if he does not return his ill-gotten gains he will have to spend four more years in prison.
Nigerian Oshodi, 31, bought Ms Budow's Santander details from an Egyptian hacker Tamer Abdulhamid, who had persuaded her to hand them over as part of a fishing scam.
His girlfriend Annette Jabeth then posed as the victim and withdrew her £1million life savings, which the gang spent in a three-day shopping splurge in the New Year sales in January 2012.
Detectives said that their purchases had ranged from cheeseburgers to high-end computers and gold', while Oshodi spent £1,134 on taxis and bought expensive gadgets including a MacBook and an iPhone.
One picture of him even appears to show him holding a 'money sandwich', with Nigerian banknotes stashed between two slices of bread.
He was jailed for eight years in 2013 after being convicted of two counts of conspiracy to defraud and conspiracy to conceal criminal property.
Appearing at Southwark Crown Court for a confiscation hearing today, Oshodi insisted he had not profited from the scam, and denied hiding money in overseas bank accounts.
Abdulhamid was jailed for six years after admitting three counts of conspiracy to defraud, but this year he was ordered to repay just £686 out of the £74,000 profit he made from the scam.
During a raid of Oshodi's home, detectives discovered computers with details of more than 11,000 credit cards, including those of almost 8,500 UK customers.
In a victim impact statement, Ms Budow said she was 'physically shaking' when she was informed by the bank, adding: 'Since the theft I have been reimbursed the full amount by Santander.
'But the effect it has had on me personally has been one of complete violation of my privacy. People have gained access to my personal details and I fear what they will use the information for.'
Jabeth and five others were also jailed for being involved in the scam.

A violent Jamaican drug dealer who evaded deportation for years before he launched a frenzied hammer and knife attack on a young woman in front of her six-year-old daughter could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Lloyd Byfield, 48, pursued a relationship with 26-year-old Leighann Duffy before he armed himself with a claw hammer and a large red handled kitchen knife and smashed his way into her flat in Walthamstow, east London, on September 1 last year.
After pleading guilty to murder, he was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 26-and-a-half years by Judge Nicholas Cooke who told him he may never be released.

Monster: Violent drug dealer Lloyd Byfield (left) who evaded deportation for years launched a brutal and frenzied knife and hammer attack on Leighann Duffy, 26, when he burst into her flat in Walthamstow, London
Judge Cooke told Byfield he must have had a 'heart of stone' to have killed Ms Duffy despite the presence of the young girl who was herself attacked when she tried to intervene.
During the Old Bailey hearing, Judge Cooke also expressed his 'unhappiness' at the failure of authorities to deport Byfield back to Jamaica when he attacked another woman with a chisel and was jailed for burglary in 2005.
He said the murder could have been prevented if he had been sent back to Jamaica then.

Wade Williams was discovered to have 72 bags of cocaine in his system
A drug smuggler who risked his life by swallowing more than 70 bags of cocaine before boarding a flight to Manchester has been jailed.
Wade Williams, 53, was stopped by Border Force officers on Valentine’s Day after his flight from Barbados landed at Manchester Airport.
The incident adds to another high profile case, with another smuggler caught at Manchester Airport last month.
It’s understood Williams, of Georgetown, Guyana in South America, began to ‘produce’ the packages after high-tech border checks and during questioning and he was promptly taken for an X-ray.
The scan confirmed he had swallowed 1.5 kilos of high-purity cocaine in 72 small packages - each the size of a ‘large gherkin’.
The drugs’ likely street value once cut would have been £200,000. The bags were so potent that had just one of them split it could have been fatal.
The case was handed over to the National Crime Agency’s policing team at the airport
He was questioned and charged with importing Class A drugs.
He appeared before Recorder Robert Crawford at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court and was jailed for five years after pleading guilty to the charge.
There was also an order for his deportation and the destruction of the drugs.
Rob Miles, head of the National Crime Agency’s Manchester border investigation team, said: “This demonstrates the desperation shown by smugglers to get illegal drugs into the UK. His actions were foolish to say the least - had just one of the 72 packages swallowed by Williams broken or split it is likely the consequences would have been fatal.
"It also shows that it doesn’t matter how well traffickers hide the drugs, we can still find them and stop them.”
Border staff use search techniques including sniffer dogs, carbon dioxide detectors, heartbeat monitors and scanners to find stowaways, illegal drugs, firearms and tobacco.
Criminal investigations launched as a result of Border Force seizures are undertaken by officers from the National Crime Agency’s Border Policing Command.

Fortune Frank Ogege and Victor Muhazi
Two men have been sentenced for money laundering after an elderly woman’s life savings of more than £70,000 was fraudulently removed from her bank account.
Victor Muhazi, 46, of Church Street, Eccles, Salford, and Fortune Ogege, 39, of Robert Hall Street, Salford, pleaded guilty to money laundering.
A court heard that the e-mail account of the woman, who lives in Jersey, was hacked and two fraudulent requests to her bank account were sent.
The first requested a transfer of more than £52,000 to Muhazi’s account, while the second requested more than £22,000 be deposited in Ogege’s account.
The sum represented the majority of the woman’s life savings and her bank account was based in Lichtenstein, the court was told.
Police said Muhazi and Ogege had withdrawn all of the victim’s money from their accounts using ATMs and over-the-counter withdrawals ‘within days’, leaving her ‘distraught’ and in ‘emotional and financial torment’.
A Manchester Crown Court sentencing hearing was told there was ‘clearly a third party’ who hasn’t yet been brought to justice.
Muhazi and Ogege weren’t aware where the money had come from, the court heard, and had been approached by a person who asked for the use of their bank accounts.
Recorder Rowena Goode, sentencing the pair, said: “You did so believing it was for honest purposes. What you each then realised was that what you were dealing with was the proceeds of criminal conduct of some sorts. You continued however to withdraw and transfer money.”
Both men, who have no previous convictions, were sentenced to 12-month community orders with unpaid work. Ogege must complete 180 hours and Muhazi 240 hours.
Police said that to date, the vast majority of the woman’s money remains outstanding. Both men however are now facing hearings under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Det Con Jonathan Roman, of GMP’s Fraud Investigation Team, issued a warning to the public over personal bank account security.
He said: “This woman has suffered two years of emotional and financial torment. Through no fault of her own, her email account was hacked into and consequently her details were used to transfer more than £70,000 of her life savings into the accounts of Muhazi and Ogege.
“This pair then couldn’t withdraw the money quick enough. You can only imagine how distraught the victim was to find her life savings had been stolen in this way and to this day she is still tens of thousands of pounds out of pocket.”

A gang of six men have been jailed for a total of 31 years after being convicted of a string of sexual offences against teenager girls.
The offences, which ranged from inciting sexual activity with a child, to rape, happened in cars, woods or at the defendants' homes in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
Oxford Crown Court heard how they lured victims to parties organised on social media and then began sexually abusing them.
The men were found guilty in March and have now been handed sentences of between three and nine years in jail.

A dry cleaner who rubbed himself up against a young commuter on the Tube has been banned from travelling on the London Underground during the rush hour for five years.
Muhammed Tahir, 53, followed the “confident and articulate” professional on to a Central Line train after spotting her on the platform.
He sidled up to the victim, in her 20s, and pretended to accidentally slide his hand across her thigh as she stood with other passengers in the busy carriage on a hot summer’s day.
When she tried to shift position he moved even closer and began rubbing his potbelly and crotch on her bottom.
But Tahir was unaware that undercover police officers were tracking his every move.
The Old Bailey heard the undercover police officers first spotted Tahir when he got off his train at Mile End at around 8am on 24 July last year.
The horrified woman managed to attract the attention of one of them and Tahir was arrested.
Detectives later discovered that Tahir was charged with two similar offences in 2003 only to be cleared after the prosecution file failed to arrive in court in time.
Judge Rebecca Poulet QC spared Tahir jail withe the order he tackles his problems under the supervision of probation officers.
She sentenced him to 26 weeks imprisonment suspended for two years with 12 months supervision and 150 hours unpaid work.

Predator: Former soldier Solomon Khoorban
50 |
Published: 20 April 2015
Updated: 19:02, 20 April 2015
A "predatory" former soldier has been jailed for 16 years for carrying out "horrific" rapes on two women while they were on nights out with friends.
Solomon Khoorban, 33, a former gunner in the British Army, pounced on the women in attacks just two months apart in 2003.
Both rapes were reported at the time but it took police more than a decade to track Khoorban down and link him to the sex attacks through DNA tests.
Khoorban, who was 21 at the time, pleaded guilty at London's Snaresbrook Crown Court to two counts of rape against a 16 year-old and one count of rape against 32 year-old.
The Met Police said Khoorban of Bartle Avenue, East Ham, attacked the two women as they were on nights out with friends.
Khoorban, who was then a serving soldier in the Royal Artillery based at Woolwich barracks, attacked the 16-year-old girl at the Equinox nightclub in the West End on 29 June 2003.
Police said he "befriended" the girl before "luring her into a deserted section of the club where he launched a violent and prolonged attack".
He then fled the venue.
Eight weeks later Khoorban struck again during the early hours of 18 August 2003.
He sneaked up on his victim, 32, on a patch of grassland in Greenwich, south east London, as she returned home from a night out.
She was subjected to a "ferocious sexual assault" before Khoorban made off, police said.
Both women immediately reported the attacks to the police and separate investigations were launched by the Met's Operation Sapphire, which investigates sex attacks.
But no arrests were made at the time and Khoorban was only brought to justice when the Met's Specialist Crime and Operations Command carried out a review of the cases in September 2014.
He was sentenced today at Snaresbrook Crown Court, watched by both victims.
Investigating officer detective sergeant Matt Flynn said: "Both young women were subjected to horrific and gratuitous ordeals at the hands of a dangerous and predatory individual.
"The devastating affect of these attacks on both women is indescribable. For the past 12 years they have had to get on with their lives knowing their attacker was still out there.
"It is only due to their courage and fortitude that Khoorban was charged with these abhorrent and cowardly attacks. Without their support he would not have been brought to justice."
Khoorban was arrested at his home late last year and his DNA matched samples taken from the 2003 attacks.
Khoorban enlisted with the British Army in 2001 and became a gunner in the Royal Artillery's 16th Regiment. During his career he served in Northern Ireland, Cyprus and Germany before being dismissed in 2007 following allegations of drug-taking.

Arman Nejad has been jailed for five years
A child rapist grinned in police custody after he sexually attacked a 14-year-old girl.
Arman Nejad dragged his victim from the street and into a house in Moss Side, where he raped her.
The crime dates back more than five years, to October 2009, but GMP failed to initially investigate and bring Nejad, now 23, to justice.
Supt Simon Retford, from GMP’s Professional Standards Branch, said: “There were unacceptable delays in bringing the case to court after the initial complaint was made.
"The victim received a service that I believe fell below the level which we strive to offer to victims of rape and other sexual abuse.”
Nejad, of Caythorpe Street, Moss Side, was found guilty of rape after a trial at Manchester Crown Court and on Friday, April 17, he was jailed for five years.
In October 2009, the victim was walking along Caythorpe Street, Moss Side, with her friends.
Nejad called her over to his house on false pretences, separating her from her mates. He then dragged her into a house and raped her.
The matter was reported to police in February 2010, and the girl was video interviewed by officers from the south Manchester division.
In June 2013, officers from GMP’s ‘Protect’ team - a multi-agency initiative set up to tackle child sexual exploitation - visited the girl on an unrelated matter and became aware of an apparent lack of progress following her initial complaint.
The matter was then fully investigated by officers from the Protect team and Nejad was arrested, charged and subsequently convicted.

A ‘calculating predator’ who dragged a young woman off the street and raped her in a churchyard has been jailed for life.
Mahmoud Al-Khouladi, 42, approached the woman in her 20s on Barlow Moor Road, Didsbury, before forcing her into the grounds of Emmanuel’s Church and attacking her last October.
Police say Al-Khouladi deliberately prowled the streets looking for a woman to attack, before targeting his victim, who had got out of a taxi nearby.
He was arrested after his DNA was found on the victim’s clothing and eventually sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum term of nine years and 190 days, at Manchester Crown Court.
Detective Constable Jill Spiers, from Greater Manchester Police, said: “Al-Khouladi is a cold, calculating predator, a man who walked the streets waiting for a young woman walking alone who he could prey upon.
“He subjected this poor woman to a terrible attack and is thoroughly deserving of the lengthy sentence he received.
